
Russell Shock
Russell was born and raised in Texas, and moved to Salem, Virginia during High School. He earned a degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech. He and his wife, Jean have 2 sons, Robert (a trainer at Blacksburg Transit) and Eric (a 12th grader at DCA). He owns and operates Gentoo Technologies, a local computer support company offering IT solutions to businesses. He is co-pastor at Good Shepherd Church of the Brethren in Blacksburg. In his spare time he enjoys sailing, kayaking and riding motorcycles. He performs, produces and provides technical support for all sorts of musical and theatrical productions, and is the local leader of The Sauerkraut Band, a German oompah band. Russell and Jean also assist with the DCA middle school robotics team, the RoboLions.
