• June 20, 2011. Six Dayspring students have received special recognition from the College Board for their outstanding performance on advanced placement (AP) exams. Jessica Albano (2010), Kennon Bouldin and Michael Pfohl have earned AP Scholar with Distinction Awards by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Darrah Dickerson, Dori Mock and Michael Ribbens received AP Scholar Awards, in recognition of completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher.

• May 28, 2011. Congratulations to the Dayspring Christian Academy class of 2011!
  

• May 24, 2011. Congratulations to Coach Mike Buehrer and the girls soccer team, who concluded a great season last weekend with a 3rd place finish in the VACA state tournament.
  

• April 14, 2011. Spring golf season is in full swing. The team is again led by Coach Joe Woodward.
  

• April 7, 2011. The second annual Olive Garden fundraiser was a lot of fun and a great success. Thanks to our friends and Olive Garden, all the volunteers, and especially all of you that enjoyed some great food!
  

• March 18, 2011. This week DCA students celebrated "Readers are Leaders" week with lots of great books and activities.
  

• February 14, 2011. The annual Dayspring "Can-the-Van" food drive finished strong today --- with 2,636 food items contributed by students to help restock the Dwelling Place Food Pantry!
  

• February 7, 2011. Congratulations to Coach Don Knautz and the Middle School boys basketball team for winning the annual Faith Christian Academy tournament held in Hurt, VA this past weekend. The team also won the sportsmanship award.
  

• November 6, 2010. Congratulations to Coach Erin Card and the Varsity Volleyball team on winning the Division III championship at the National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) tournament in Dayton, Tennessee this week! See this article for more details.
  

• September 22, 2010. Parents, students and staff gathered at both DCA campuses this morning for the annual "See You At The Poll" prayer time, joining with over one and a half million students across the country. Thank you for standing with us in prayer for our school, community, nation and world.
  

• September 8, 2010. This year our theme at Dayspring is "Relentlessly Pursuing the Prize Together." In staff devotions and student chapels we will be encouraging one another to "Run in such a way as to get the prize" (I Corinthians 9:24) --- the prize of knowing Jesus and receiving all that He has for us in this life and the next.
  

• August 31, 2010. A special thank you to the crew from Transformation Painting for painting the exterior of the 2nd Campus (DP) building. It looks awesome!
  

• August 11, 2010. The Dayspring Student Officers met today to make plans for the 2010-2011 school year, beginning with orientation events next week!
