• May 29, 2010. Congratulations to the Dayspring Christian Academy class of 2010!
  

• May 14, 2010. The Elementary fine arts program, "Night at the Dayspring Museum" was a great opportunity for students to share their creativity with family and friends. Thanks to all who made it possible!
  

• May 13, 2010. The Spring 2010 Field Day was a great time for all. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it a special day of fun and celebration for the entire Dayspring community of learners. Please visit the gallery for more pictures.
  

• May 4, 2010. The girls soccer team celebrated senior night tonight, at their final home game of the season.
  

• March 4, 2010. 230 pounds of spaghetti, 25 gallons of sauce, 90 pounds of lettuce, 40 pounds of tomatoes and 750 breadsticks! Add dozens of volunteers and over 480 hungry guests, and you have a recipe for a fun (and filling) evening of pasta and fundraising for DCA. A big thank you to our friends at Olive Garden! • February 26, 2010. At the Spelling Bee. Students from 1st through 8th grades represented DCA well at this annual event held at Roanoke Valley Christian School. Great job everyone!
  

• February 24, 2010. The 3rd annual "Can the Van" food drive, organized by student officers, finished today. Thanks to all who contributed the hundreds of items to help out the Inter Faith Food Pantry.
  

• January 25, 2010. Congratulations to all the participants in the annual middle school and high school science fair. And a big thank you to the organizers (Mr. Farmer, Mrs. Shelor and Mrs. Koene), the judges, and to the Service Club for set-up help. See the gallery for more pictures.
  

• November 4, 2009. Students and staff enjoyed serving the community today! Seventeen teams went out to represent DCA and the love of Jesus in projects ranging from visiting shut-ins, to yardwork, to collecting food donations. The only casualty we know of was a few rakes!
  

• November 2, 2009. Best of luck to the varsity girls volleyball and boys soccer teams as they head to NACA tournaments in Tennessee this week.
  
  

• October 6, 2009. Congratulations to the cross country team on their fine showing at the VACA South meet yesterday. The middle school girls and the varsity boys each finished in first place.
  

• September 25, 2009. Thank you to everyone who attended the Fundraising Banquet. Over 230 guests enjoyed sweet fellowship and a beautiful time of praising God and thanking Him for His work in and through Dayspring Christian Academy. A special thank you to those who shared spoken and musical testimonies, and to the members of the School Board for being good sports about the lollipops!

  And congratulations to Heidi Mock (Valedictorian, Class of 2009) for receiving the Elbert H. and Evelyn J. Waldron College of Health and Human Services Presidential Scholarship from the the Radford University Foundation Scholars Program. This scholarship includes in-state tuition and fees, room and board, and also an annual book stipend. Heidi will be pursuing a degree in nursing and hopes to one day do missionary work as a nurse overseas.

  

  Congratulations also to Hannah Anderson (Salutatorian, Class of 2009) for receiving the Radford University Academic Excellence Scholarship and The Winston and Elma Dowdy Scholarship.
