The 5-year Technology Plan

Year 1 (2004-05)

• Purchase of keyboards with memory for keyboarding instruction.
• Purchase desktop and laptop computers for use by teachers and students in most classrooms.
• Put into use a donated mountable projector in conjunction with a computer for PowerPoint instructional presentations.
• Conduct teacher training on software packages for classroom start-up.
• Instruct students in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

Years 2, 3, 4, & 5

• Involves a flexible plan that would remain fluid to take advantage of advances in technology and the changing needs of our students.
• Instruction in the use of imaging and database software.
• Purchase of more computers, as needed.
• Possible renovation or new construction of a technology center on campus.
• Infrastructure and equipment for broadband or wireless connections.
