School Closing Information

For information regarding school closings or delayed openings due to inclement weather, consult one of the following:

TV stations -- WDBJ CHANNEL 7 and WSLS CHANNEL 10

Sign-up to have school closings sent to your cell phone through WSLS.

- Follow procedure for signing up. Key word is: DAYSPRINGC
- You can designate as many schools or businesses as you like.

Delayed openings will always be two hours late (never just one hour). Students should report to their appropriate class by 10:25 a.m. on these days. Families should continue consulting the media until 9:00 a.m. on days when a delayed opening is announced. Up until 9:00 a.m. the school may opt to change from a delayed status to a closed status for the day. After 9:00 a.m. no such change will be made.
